Amit Mishra to be an ace spinner in world cricket

Amit Mishra became the sixth Indian bowler, and the third Indian legspinner, to pick up five wickets on debut, when he picked up the wicket of Peter Siddle, to wrap up the Australian first inning in the second test of the on going Border-Gavasker trophy.

The Haryana bowler was a late inclusion in the team after captain Anil Kumble was ruled out of the match with a shoulder injury. Kumble's injury came as a blessing in disguise for Amit Mishra, who took up the challenge and proved his mettle. I think after the likes of Shane Warne, M Murlidharan and Anil Kumble in recent times, Amit Mishra has emerged as the strong contender to carry on the legacy ahead.
